Our story
Tiny Worlds Farm is a small family farm in North Florida growing native, edible and useful plants. We are primarily native growers and support ‘right plant, right place’ with appropriate selections for the region. As responsible designers, we do not offer plants on the invasive species list for Florida. Our recommendations can help you avoid plants with the potential to be a problem in your home landscape and the ecosystem.
The farm (in much larger form) was for many years owned by Sam McGarvey, a writer for the Gainesville Sun, High Springs Herald, and author of the “Farmer’s Diary” column that related farm life and happenings in our own Bradford County, Florida from 1949 - 1971. Looking back on Sam’s history of the land provides inspiration and appreciation for local farm history.
Current owner Amy started Tiny Worlds Farm to compliment landscape architecture and education services offered through her design firm, Mulberry Hill Studio. Along with great plants, we offer classes on growing and creating with plants and exploring nature and the native and wild plants that are local to you. To visualize your landscape, full scale design services from site planning to concept / detail development to permit and construction documentation are available.
